Sunday Update - 3/9

Sunday Update

Welcome to my edition of the Caffeinated Book Reviewer's Sunday Post meme and Tynga's Reviews' Stacking the Shelves meme. Check out what I have been doing this week (and will do next week) and my book haul.

This week has been filled with lots of work and then tons of procrastinating. There is a reason that I read seven books this week. Okay, a few of those were really short, but The Way of Kings is over 1000 pages. Reading an uplifting epic high fantasy book is a bit more fun that editing my dissertation for the millionth time. I want to apologize in advance if I don't seem to be up-to-date on my commenting for the next few days. I am just trying to get my real life squared away. Graduating means that I get to buy more books, so it is a win-win for everyone. :) Because I love scheduling posts in advance, there shouldn't be a change in posting, just how quickly I respond to things.

The Ophelia Prophecy by Sharon Lynn FisherHow to Make Your Cat an Internet Celebrityby Patricia Carlin

I received two ARCs this week, The Ophelia Prophecy by Sharon Lynn Fisher and How to Make Your Cat an Internet Celebrityby Patricia Carlin. Reviews for both of these books will be up within the next few weeks. I really enjoyed both of them. I read The Ophelia Prophecy within a few hours of getting the book!

From Giveaways
If I Speak True by Jessica Brooks

I won If I Speak True by Jessica Brooks from Kimberlyfaye Reads. Thank you!

Currently Reading

Harry Potter & the Philospher's Stone by JK Rowling: is doing a reread of the entire series, so I thought I would reread along, because I have been wanting to do a reread for a few months.

The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addision: This book isn't what I was expecting. It is more a tale of court intrigue than an adventure tale, but I am really enjoying it!

A Dance with Dragons by GRR Martin: I am more interested in reading this one, because Game of Thrones is starting back up in April!

by Marissa Meyer: I am still really enjoying this book. Because this is an audio book, it is taking a bit longer to read.
