Hi everyone! You are probably wondering what is up, because I am posting a random post at an abnormal time! I have noticed a lot of people talking about feeling frustrated that bloggers don't respond to their comments and the like. Well, this talk made me think that I should share something with you, because I only realized this a month or so ago.

Reading Is Fun Again Blog Button!
Posted in Blog Tips on 12:07 AM by Unknown
Wednesday's book review is going to be a few hours late, because...drum roll please...I spent my evening crafting a blog button! Isn't it pretty? The code is on the sidebar (just scroll down a bit).
For those who are interested, I used GIMP (a free image editor) to make the button. I would not call it user friendly, but after a little help from my husband (he uses it to make maps), I felt pretty comfortable with it. I am excited to try making other icons and images with it for my blog.
If you are looking for free software to make images, I would really encourage you to try GIMP. The learning curve is steep, but it is definitely worth it. I used to try to make images in MS Paint, and it made me so sad and frustrated. In GIMP, each object is a separate item, so you can move/delete/change things independently of one another.
Let me know, if you want me to discuss how I made the button. I am happy to share!
