Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Smart Characters

Top Ten Tuesday

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers post a top ten list related to a specific theme. This week's theme is Top Ten Smart Characters. I am defining smart as both book smart and street smart.

1. Hermione Granger (Harry Potter series by JK Rowling)
Hermione and her books keeps Ron and Harry alive.

2. Chubs (The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken)
Chubs is clever and is the one to keep his cool during danger.

3. Eleanor (Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell)
Even with all the stress at home, Eleanor still does very well at school.

4. Peeta (The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins)
Katniss may be the star of this series, Peeta is the one who knows what it takes to play the game.

5. Alexia Tarabotti (Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger)
Alexia is quite smart to the unfortunate surprise of her family.

6. Calvin O'Keefe (Time Quartet by Madeleine L'Engle)
Calvin isn't the main character in this series, but he is a very smart guy. I also had a crush on him when I was little.

7. Cimorene (The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C Wrede)
Cimorene is book smart and street smart. She doesn't take nonsense from anyone. She is someone to have on your side when you are making cherries jubilee or fighting wizards.

8. Tyrion Lannister (Song of Ice and Fire series by GRR Martin)
Tyrion knows that reading is what is going to keep him alive when he is playing the game of thrones.

9. Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch)
If you are pulling off a con, you need Lamora on your team for his street smarts.

10. Jean Tannen (Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch)
If you are pulling off a con, you need Lamora on your team for his book smarts.
