1. Cibola Burn by James SA Corey

If you want to read a summer blockbuster, you need to read a James SA Corey book.

2. Emma by Jane Austen

I need to read this for my 2014 Jane Austen Readathon. Also, it is a fun, "light" read.

3. Fool's Assassin by Robin Hobb

This book isn't out until later in the summer, but it should be fun and epic. It is a perfect summer read.

4. The Magician's Land by Lev Grossman

I am so pumped for the exciting ending to this trilogy.

5. Half a King by Joe Abercrombie

I am currently reading Half a King, and I am really enjoying it. It is a fantasy, adventure story. In the summer, I love to see (very) distant lands.

6. Discount Armageddon by Seanan McGuire

I just picked up the audio book of Discount Armageddon, and I think this will be a great read for my daily commute.

7. Redshirts by John Scalzi
I have been meaning to read this book for forever. Scalzi's books are quick, fun reads, so I think the summertime is the right time.

8. Promise of Blood by Brian McClellan
This is Sword & Laser's book pick for June.

9. The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman
I just got volume one today, so I am going to be quickly reading through this series this summer.

10. Fables by Bill Willingham
I am anxiously waiting to get my hands on this series! There are about 20 volumes, and I hear that the series is amazing.
