Wednesday Update!

I normally do not have a middle of the week update; however, this week has been just too exciting to wait until Sunday for an update. I got two very exciting packages in the mail. I must warn you that these packages are not for the weak hearted!

Monday Package

On Monday, my mailman dropped on a plain yellow mailing envelope. The name on the return address was not plain at all. The name was Gail Carriger! A few weeks ago, I won a contest that she was hosting in honor of Soulless Volume 3 (the manga version of Blameless) coming out on November 19th. I received a signed copy of Soulless Volume 2 (the manga version of Changeless) and a few goodies including signed Parasol Protectorate-related postcards and two little parasols. This package has caused me to do an impromptu Parasol Protectorate reread (oh and pick up a copy of Soulless Volume 1). I read Soulless Voumes 1 & 2 and Blameless (I had to reassure myself that everything was okay after the horrible cliffhanger at the end of Changeless), and I am now rereading Heartless (#4). After I finish this reread of the five-book series, I am moving on to Curtsies & Conspiracies.

Doesn't everything look fantastic? This was a great Monday surprise?!

My kitty Lunabelle LOVED the parasols! Every time I set them down, she would grab one and walk off with it. Two seconds after I took the above picture, she ran up and picked one up. Here is a video of her with one of the parasols. I apologize for the dopey music, it was that or listening to me breathing and laughing.

Tuesday Package

On Tuesday, the UPS man dropped another plain, yellow mailing envelope at my door. This envelope was a bit larger. This is because it contained three books! I won a contest hosted by the lovely April and Tabitha from My Shelf Confessions and sponsored by Macmillan | Feiwel & Friends. I now have my very own copies of The Girl who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making, The Girl who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There, The Girl who Soared over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two. Aren't they pretty?!

As you can guess, my NaNoWriMo writing schedule and Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge reading schedule have been thrown out the window. What can I say? I love me some female protagonists!

Wow you lucky lady!! 2 packages and both with awesome goodies!! I loved the video.. Lunabelle looks like my Kat but plays like Kit *Tee hee* I can sit and watch my kitties play all the time. Kit actually plays hide and seek under a carpet. I don't blame you for putting the challenges a side. Strangely enough I have been super inspired to write this month and reading has been soooo slow.. hmm wonder if its NaNoWriMo rubbing off.

Lunabelle is so subdued in her playing! Adorable. You got some really marvelous prizes! You are going to absolutely love the Fairyland books!!

I am so excited to start reading them! There is a reason that her name is Lunabelle. She is very dainty and lady-like unless she is playing with a few particular toys like her fishing pole toy. To give you an idea about how she play with that toy, we call playing with the fishing pole "murder."

I am glad that you liked the video. I thought it was hilarious how much she loved those little parasols. My husband wasn't at home at the time, so I had to take a video of it to share with him, so I figured I would share it with everyone!

You cat really does look like Lunabelle. My husband and I were so impressed with how similar they looked.

I know! You can't see it from the photo I sent you but Kat has a white patch on his tummy just a little bit smaller than Lunabelle's :)

Monday and Tuesday were pretty fantastic. :) Lunabelle loves tiny little objects that she can bat around.
