Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers post a top ten list related to a specific theme. This week's theme is Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On. If this book didn't have a cover yet, I have the cover of the first book in the series.

1. Curtsies and Conspiracies by Gail Carriger (Finishing School #2)
This comes out today! I am so excited to get my hands on this book.

2. The Thorn of Emberlain by Scott Lynch (Gentleman Bastard #4)
This is such a fun series with cursing, a bit of violence, and fantastic criminal cons.

3. Symbiont by Mira Grant (Parasitology #2)

I just finished the first book in this duology, and I need to know how it comes together.

4. Untitled by Naomi Novik (Temeraire #9)

This is the exciting conclusion to the Temeraire series! This series has had its ups and downs, but I need to know what happens to Laurence and his dragon, Temeraire. This series takes place during the Napoleonic wars, and there are talking dragons.

5. The Magician's Land by Lev Grossman (The Magicians #3)

This series is a weird combination of Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia. The protagonist is not the most likeable guy, but I really need to know what ends up happening to him.

6. The Winds of Winter by GRR Martin (SOIAF #6)

I still need to read books #4 and #5, but I know I am going to want to continue this series.

7. Sleeping Late on Judgement Day by Tad Williams (Bobby Dollar #3)

I am enjoying this gritty urban fantasy series by Tad Williams about angels and demons. I don't love this series, but I am now invested in finding out about the series arc.

8. Untitled by Brandon Sanderson (Rithmatist #2)

Brandon Sanderson is writing a series about magic math, specifically, magic geometry. Seriously. It is kind of awesome.

9. Untitled by Elliott James (Pax Arcana #2)

I didn't love the first book in the Pax Arcana series, but I love the concept and the characters, so I am excited to find out what happens next to Charming and the Scooby gang.

10. Cibola Burn by James SA Corey (Expanse #4)

I still need to read book #3, but I am sure it is going to be awesome. This series was actually supposed to be a trilogy, but people loved it so much, James SA Corey's contract (and the series) got extended!

Wow, now that's one amazing list! i can't wait for C&C, too, and I still need to read Charming & Parasite, as well as books 2 & 3 of the Expanse (I loved Leviathan Wakes), as for all the others, they're all on my must-try/read-list, but still haven't. As I said, amazing list!

Yay for the new Naomi Novik and GRRM books! I can't wait to read them when I'm all caught up on the series so far. Great picks :)
Come see my TTT post :)

I am excited to hear that our tastes are so similar! I didn't love Caliban's War as much as Leviathan Wakes, but it still will take you on a super exciting adventure. I am always surprised how quickly I get the the tomes that are the Expanse books!

If you haven't tried the Temeraire audio books, I would encourage you to give them a try. Simon Vance's voices for the dragons are how I hear them now even when I am reading the books! Thanks for stopping by!

I saw on your blog that you love YA. The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger and the Rithmatist series by Brandon Sanderson may be up your alley. Thanks for stopping by!

Wait! I have read books that you haven't, I can't believe that! You are a reading machine. :)

I'd like to try them in audios but I have to read them first. I'm up to book 3 I think. With me if I haven't read the book before listening to the audios I just tune them out too much. I'm weird like that. :)

This is a really great list - it's made me realize that I seriously need to get to book 1 of a lot of great series still!! I didn't realize that Symbiont was part of a series - I've been seeing it all over the place too, so now I really need to check it out. Thanks for sharing!

I understand. I can't listen to nonfiction, because I zone out. I like audio books when the reader does lots of voices to keep me hooked on the book.

I know what you mean. There are so many series that I need to start (and finish). My top priority needs to be reading the Divergent series. Allegiant is apparently quite controversial, and I am scared of being spoiled!
