Top Ten Tuesday: New To-Me Authors

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers post a top ten list related to a specific theme. This week's theme is Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2013.

1. Mira Grant
Mira Grant is my go-to zombie author now.

2. Connie Willis
I LOVED Doomsday Book, and I am looking forward to spending more time with her time traveling series.

3. Rainbow Rowell
I just read Attachments and Eleanor & Park in the last few weeks, and they were so well written. I can't wait to read Fangirl and her future books.

4. Alexandra Bracken
The Darkest Minds was amazing. I can't read more of this series.

5. A Lee Martinez
Helen and Troy's Epic Road Quest was just hilarious. His other books appear to have the same cheeky humor.

6. Lois McMaster Bujold
This is another amazing author. I read The Curse of Chalion, and I can't wait to read more of her SF&F books. She is a great adult SF&F author.

7. Kage Baker
I loved, loved, loved In the Garden of Iden. The story involves cyborgs, time traveling, and botany. I need to read more of her books!

8. John Green
The Fault in Our Stars deserved the hype. I am curious to read his other books.

9. Scott Lynch
His Gentleman Bastards series is such much fun. If you love books written from the conman POV with magic-y elements, this is the series for you!

10. James SA Corey
The Expanse series is epic space opera fun!

I love Green, he's awesome. So glad he made so many lists today. I still have to start Rowell, Grant and Bracken, heard so much about them all.
Happy reading!

I'm surprised yours is the first list I see having Alexandra Bracken on it. It felt like everyone read The Darkest Minds these last few months and I thought it would be on a lot of lists :D (I know it already came out last year but with the hype about the second book a lot of people seemed to notice it for the first time)

Still haven't read anything by Mira Grant but I want to start her Feed series soon. That book has been sitting on my shelf for so long.

The only author on your list I've already read is John Green, but several are on my TBR shelf, so maybe they'll be on my 'new-to-me-authors in 2014' list :)

Thanks for stopping by earlier. Have a terrific Tuesday!

Great list! Rainbow Rowell is on my list, too :) I also love the Expanse series & John Green's books, although I still haven't read The Fault in Our Stars, but I loved almost all of his other books.

And although I'm crazy about the InCryptid series, I can't seem to make time to read her Mira Grant books, hopefully 2014 will be the year ;)

And of course all the others are on my authors-to-try list, but still haven't gotten around to them...

Connie Willis is one I haven't seen anywhere else today! I love To Say Nothing of the Dog, which I just right now learned is the second book in the series. I don't know how to feel about this haha

Thanks for stopping by my TTT post Pamela :) Alexandra Bracken almost made my list. In fact I meant to add her but got distracted and added a different author instead lol.

We need to do a switch! I have enjoyed all of Grant's books, but I have yet to read her books as McGuire. :)

I just read Doomsday Book a few months ago, but I don't think it has any bearing on the later books in the series. I need to find time to read To Say Nothing of the Dog. Doomsday Book was amazing.

I wasn't expecting too much from Helen and Troy's, but OMG it was hilarious. I need to read more of his books.
