This has been a busy week! My husband and I went to see my mom and brother for Thanksgiving. It was nice to spend time with family and eat lots of yummy food. As you can imagine, reading wasn't a bit priority with pumpkin pie to eat and family gossip to be had (there was new extended family gossip to be learned). I hope you all had a lovely week whether you were celebrating Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, or a regular week.
Added to the Book Shelf (links lead to GoodReads)
I have been a good girl this week. I just received two books this week. I received The Happy Couple by Barton Goldsmith from the GoodReads First Reads Program and Waterfell by Amalie Howard from the Waterfell Blog Tour.
Currently Reading (links lead to GoodReads)
Insurgent by Veronica Roth: I am a little over one-third of the way through this book. Although I want to hit Tris over the head most of the time, I am enjoying the book. I am hoping that there is more world building later on. I want to know the history of the factions. Please NO SPOILERS. I am spoiler free for Insurgent and Allegiant and I would like to stay this way.
Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie: Are you surprised? This may just be a DNF, because I am just not loving it. If the book sounds interesting to you, please check it out. It is a really cool book, for someone else.
Read This Week (links lead to GoodReads)
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Hercule Poirot and the Greenshore Folly by Agatha Christie
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight: Volumes 2, 3, 4 by Joss Whedon and others

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a good one with company and lots of food (too much!). Now I have to recover...
I'm impressed when people can avoid spoilers, because often I can't. I let myself get spoiled for Allegiant (haven't read the series) so now my motivation to read it is kinda gone, knowing the ending! Oops. Have a good week.
Sometimes we need a little break from reading and blogging and just time to love being with our family! Thanksgiving sounded like a great time for that :)
So happy to hear you had a great weekend.
Happy catch up reading :)

Happy Thanksgiving! I love catching up with my family as my mother and step-mother both give me masses of leftovers that I only have to reheat.
LOL. I am pretty bad about spoilers too, but sometimes I get it into my head that I want to be surprised. The Divergent series happens to be one of those instances. Everyone just seems so upset, so I kinda want to be shocked with everyone else. :)
It was nice to spend time with my family. My mom is a big reader, and I left her with a long list of books that she needed to read!
Leftovers are the best! My husband and I left my mom's house with lots of leftovers too.
