Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten 2014 Releases I'm Dying to Read

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers post a top ten list related to a specific theme. This week's theme is
Top Ten 2014 Release I'm Dying To Read. All links lead to GoodReads.

1. Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson
I haven't read the first book in this series, but I am sure that I will love it. I am excited that this second book in this series is coming out, so I can do a book marathon!

2. Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon
I read Outlander earlier this year, and I am planning on continuing this series next year. I am excited that another book in this series is coming out next year!

3. The Magician's Land by Lev Grossman
I read the first two books in this series, and I am excited to discover how this trilogy concludes. This has not been my favorite trilogy, but I want to know how this story works out.

4. The Amazing Thing About the Way It Goes by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee
Stephanie Pearl-McPhee writes humorous books about knitting. They are fabulous, and I devour each one.

5. Hollow City by Ransom Riggs

Although Miss Peregrine was a bit disappointing, I am curious to read this book. What can I say, I am a sucker for the cool photos in the book.

6. Cibola Burn by James SA Corey

I need to read Abbadon's Gate, but I am sure that I am going to love it. Once I finish Abbadon's Gate, I know I will be unable to contain myself until Cibola Burn comes out.

7. Symbiont by Mira Grant
I need an ending to Parasitology! I really enjoyed Parasite, and I need to know how this story ends!

8. Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan

I loved A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent. I am so excited that there is a sequel!

9. & 10. Waistcoats & Weaponry by Gail Carriger & Manners & Mutiny by Gail Carriger

I can't wait to get my hands on the last two books in the Finishing School series. I love this fun, little series.

I love the Gail Carriger books as well. I didn't know there was a cover for the last Magician's book, I'll have to get around to reading the second book in that series.

The only series I've started (and loved) from these, but still need to catch up on are the Expanse & Finishing School, but all of the rest are on my TBR, so definitely great list :)

Great list. I'm so excited for The Magician's Land. I just finished The Magician King and I seriously cannot shut up about it! You also make me want to read A History of Dragons. I've always been curious if it's any good.

My goodness, I agree with you about Written in my own Heart's Blood, Pamela! I can't wait to read more about Clare and Jamie! I am so curious about what will happen next! There are so many great books coming out next year - I totally need much more time to read.

Have a great day and happy reading!

Carriger's books always make me smile. I found Magician King to be better than The Magicians, so I have high hopes for the third book.

I am so behind on the Outlander series... I stopped halfway through Voyager because I needed to move to other, quicker reads (plus I was emotionally exhausted after reading the first 2 back-to-back), but I'm excited to get back to it and I'm thrilled the series isn't over yet!

I know what you mean. I have to take at least a month break in between the Song of Ice and Fire books by GRR Martin. I need happy books after I read about all the sexual violence in those books.

I have become more vigilant with netgalley, since I missed it when I was looking over books on the site. Every day, I scour the site in search of Symbiont. I will be one of the first people to request a review copy! I need to know what happens!

I haven’t read anything by Brandon Sanderson and I really should! I love epic fantasy like that. I liked Miss Peregrine’s and I’m excited to read the sequel too. Great picks!

Brandon Sanderson is a fantastic writer. He has something for everyone in the fantasy genre, YA, epic fantasy, novella, etc. Anything you pick up will be great. :)
