Bout of Books Read-a-Thon Kick Off Post

Bout of Books

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 6th and runs through Sunday, January 12th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 9.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

So you know I have a read-a-thon problem, right? I wasn't going to do this one, but EVERYONE is doing it, even some of the people I watch on youtube. It was a sign. I have to do this challenge.

Goals

* Read for a little bit everyday
* Finish reading A Study in Ashes by Emma Jane Holloway
* Finish reading The Einstein Intersection by Samuel R Delany
* Read Dark Talisman by Steven M Booth

Good luck. Bout of Books is really fun and I think that's why everyone does it. The challenges are fun and it's no pressure. I usually meet a lot of new people. Especially during the twitter chats!

Good luck, and have lots of fun! I've got my daughter home from college this week, so I'm not signing up this time.

I am quite excited. I just finished writing all of my posts for the week, so I can just concentrate on reading! Bring on the fun in 20 minutes. :)

Enjoy your time with your daughter! I think that is a reasonable excuse for not participating. :)

I am quite excited about it. Both the "booktubers" I watch on youtube and the book bloggers I read are both doing this challenge. Worlds are colliding! It should be fun!

You should! All you need to do is a goals post and nothing else. The challenges and stuff are all optional.

I really did want to do this, because you're right, everyone is! There was just no way I could with all I have going on right now... I'm lucky to be reading at all! Good luck with your goals :)

I know what you mean. I am a sucker for peer pressure. If everyone was jumping off a cliff, I would too!
