GoodReads 2014 Reading Challenge

Last year, I read about 145 books/novellas/short stories. I did a few rereads, but I didn't count them on my GoodReads account.

As you can kind of see, I rated most books in the good to very good categories. I only read two books that I really disliked. I read a handful of books that were just okay, and I discovered a little more than a handful of books that I thought were excellent.

Because I am anticipating being a bit busier this year, I am focusing on reading 100 books this year. Feel free to check out my progress on my GoodReads profile. I will also be posting my progress monthly.

Good luck with your goal this year! I'm trying to decide if I want to up mine...I always put 100 but I always go over by at least 20 books.

I am a little worried that I am overextending myself with challenges, but I feel fairly confident about 100 books, especially since GoodReads doesn't judge if you just read 100 short stories! :)

You can always up the number if you surpass your goal too quickly. I might do that this year. Last year, I surpassed my goal super fast, but I didn't want to up my goal, because I loved seeing that I met at least one goal last year! :)

I'm kind of in love with your use of the Barney Stinson gif here. Now I feel like his voice will be playing in my head whenever I write a challenge post or read a challenge book. Make the whole thing seem more...dramatic.

LOL. I was getting all stressed out about whether I should do any challenges or not. It was all rather silly. Clearly I was over thinking everything, but as graduate students, isn't that what we do so well? Anyway, when I sat down to make my ten million challenge posts, my Barney Stinson gif just called out to me.

Great goal! Last year I actually originally had my GR goal at 150, but then I raised it since I went well over that. :) This year I did 200 since I read over that last year and I need to read at least that many books.

I saw the list of books that you need to get through! Good luck! This year I don't have as much time to read, so I am only going to do 100 even though I met that number last year. I have only read one book this year, so I am starting to get a bit worried!

Good luck with your goal Pamela! I usual set a low goal for myself incase I get busier which I'm hoping to be since I'm trying to go back to school so good luck :)

Thanks! I figure if I start running out of time, I will cheat and read some younger books or short stories! GoodReads will never know! ;)
