Bout of Books Wrap Up

Bout of Books

Bout of Books did not go exactly as planned. On day 2, I found out that my grandmother had passed away, and I spent the rest of the week helping with the funeral and driving. The two days that I was able to fully participate in the read-a-thon was quite fun. I enjoyed doing the challenges and attending the first Twitter party of the event. I am looking forward to doing the next one.

I was able to read Dark Talisman by Steven M Booth during the event. :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother passing Pamela I'm sending you the biggest hug right now (and hoping that doesn't seem creepy!).

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. :( I didn't do all that great on the reading front this week either.

I am very sorry Pamela and reading was probably the furthest thing from your mind. I will be thinking of you and yours.

So sorry to hear about your grandma how awful! I'm glad you were able to read a little bit to distract you, but wow, not a good way to start the new year. :( *hug* Family always should come first in times like this, so I'm glad you set aside the readathon. <3

I am very sorry about your grandmother, Pam. Please accept my condolences. I am just glad that you were still able to momentarily forget the sadness through the books you've read.

Losing a family member is really hard. Happy to know that you're still interacting with us despite what happened.

RIP to your grandma.

My Mom and I watched a lot of HGTV in the hotel room when we weren't running off to different family events. It was wonderful and mindless. It is always so surprising how tiring these things are.
