Sunday Update!

This is going to be a quick Sunday Update, because I just got back home from Indiana today. I drove about seven hours from Indiana to Pennsylvania, dropped my Mom off, and then drove another three hours home. The funeral for my grandmother was really nice and went smoothly. I also got to see a lot of family that I rarely see.

Needless to say, I have been getting very little reading done. I haven't finished anything this week; however, Dark Talisman will be done in the next few hours. I started the Silver Linings Playbook audio book when I drove to my Mom's, and I listened to most of the rest of it on the way back. I have about 45 minutes left. I am really enjoying it.

I received a few books from giveaways and from publishers for review this week, but I am going to hold off on describing them, because I am really tired and want to do them justice (e.g., show you pictures of the books and give you GoodReads links).

I apologize for not getting to your comments or blogs this week. Family had to take precedence. I will be getting to comments tomorrow, and I will slowly be going through the backlog of posts through the week.

I really want to see the movie Silver Linings Playbook. It doesn't seem like my type of book but the movie looks great!!

Sorry to hear about your nan, but I'm glad the funeral went well. I lost my grandad in November and although the funeral was sad, it was nice to see all of my family. I really enjoyed The Silver Linings Playbook, and the movie, although really different, is also really good.

This might be late reply but please don't worry, Pam. We completely understand when you can't get back to comments ASAP. Hahahaha. Life always happens and it's just right to prioritize them first.

I am really sorry about your grandma and that the funeral happened without fuss. The grieving is already hard enough to deal without the added pressure of other funeral proceedings.

It is a really lovely movie. I watched it twice with different friends who don't typically watch this type of movie and they loved it. I just finished the book, and it is really fantastic as well.

I slept most of Monday and then dragged myself to the living room. My Mom got a new car a few months ago, and I drove that car to Indiana and it was a dream. It was much more ergonomic than my car!

If you loved the movie, you should read the book. I think it is even better, and I loved the movie!

I was so surprised how different the book and movie were while still being kind of the same.

It was really nice to catch up with my cousins and get all the good gossip. :) I think my grandma would have been happy that we all caught up.

My father passed away a few years ago, and the funeral planning was a disaster. It was no one's fault. It was just a series of ridiculous situations. I kept thanking the funeral director who ran my grandma's funeral for making everything so easy. He probably thought I was ridiculous. :)

Don't worry about blogging, comments and reading when it's family! Readers understand Life Happens and you have to take care of that first. Take care!

Thank you for your kind words. It was a bit of a crazy driving adventure. Luckily, the weather was good.
